I had one of these a while ago and decided to get another one. For me it's the perfect balance for a 9mm. The length of the barrel provides good stability, accuracy and concealment, while the grip is just right for any hand size. The grip angle and trim also help control recoil. While I'm no gun expert, I'm old enough to know what's good and what's not. The Glock 19 in Gen 4 is about as good as a 9mm can get.
Just Got My First Brand New California Legal Glock 19
I'm a 63 year old guy and just got my concealed carry permit. I started with a revolver because all the gun stores think that's what older women want. Well, I took it to the range twice and was upset that I couldn't hit the target. I only shot 2 different times about 10 years ago and that was with a Glock and I did wonders with the Glock. So my husband knew I could shoot better so he told me to try my Glock 23 so I hit a bullet the first shot, then another, then another. So I took my 3 week old revolver to my gun store and traded it in for my Glock 19. I love my Glock 19 and it is my concealed weapon. I'm a petite and petite woman, I could go down to 43, but I don't want to. I have to say from everything I've read and been told by Glock owners, I wouldn't want to go with any other brand of gun. I feel safe with the reliability of the Glock brand.
I use the G19 gen4 for my everyday concealed carry and home defense pistol. This is my first gun purchase and so far so good. The gun fits snugly around my waist and you can't tell. I'm of medium build and weigh about 190 pounds and you can't see it's there. I do make some modifications to the gun, but only for personalization. PBG will do all the work. I carry a Beretta 9m for my job every day and my G19 blows it out of the water in comparison. I've never had a stall, crash or malfunction with my G19. I love this gun.
I got this gun as my first Glock and it inspired the love I have for the company today. Despite being a 'compact' model, it fits well in my hand (and I have fairly large hands and long fingers. I think concealment is a pain unless I'm wearing a light jacket, which isn't a problem. Upgraded the trigger and added a 3.5 double diamond connector Lb I can honestly say I would trust this little beauty to protect myself and my family any day over removing an ugly Glock trigger break.Very well made gun.
I'm new to the CCW world. Many people highly recommend this gun. I am by no means a firearms expert here. With a one-hour basic pistol course at my local rifle club, I was getting a baseball-sized group at 45 feet. It has good reverse control and is very accurate. This is the most reliable gun I have put almost 2000 rounds through my G19 GEN4 and zero double feeds or failed to eject spent shells. As a CCW, I highly recommend this gun to anyone using it as a self defense weapon. 100% reliability and ease of use are important to me. This gun just didn't live up to all the expectations I had. It completely trumps everything. Kudos to GLOCK for making a simple, reliable pistol that's affordable and easy to shoot.

I bought my model 19 under the Blue Label program. What a great price! $200 less than the academy and $300 less than the gun shop. I hold it in my hand and the gun feels like Glock built the gun around it. The performance of the gun is incredible. Ammo is cheap. Big gun. I have nothing left but a Glock.
This gun will not let you down. It eats all kinds of ammo and hits my target every time. The good thing about Glocks is that there are so many modifications and upgrades you can do. All Glock designs are the same and I love that instead of always going to a gunsmith for anything, you can do it yourself by watching Lenny Mac Gills videos. Another thing I love is that they are very light. It fits nicely around my waist and with a pullover shirt it's the perfect CC for everyday wear.

Glock 19 Gen 3: accurate, reliable, easy to take down/clean/assemble. The best version of the Glock 19 ever made. Bought the mine three years ago. I bought another one today. I consider Gen 3 to be the best CCW ever.

I have owned and carried this model Glock both privately and on duty. I have competed in many competitions and training sessions and this equipment has never let me down. Use the 'real' ammo and you'll probably never have a misfire problem. Keep it clean along with your magazines and feeding won't be a problem. Remember, if your life depends on it, you want it to work on time, every time! Everything else is only good for a hammer or paperweight! Be safe!
